Over the summer university break, we were joined by eight students currently studying in engineering-related fields for an 11-week internship. We designed a rotation that provided exposure to most areas of the Isaac Group including construction, surfacing, laboratory, shared services, and survey departments.

At the end of their rotations, we asked them to present on what they had learned from their internships and how we could improve the experience for future interns. The overwhelming feedback was that the regional placements were among their favourites and that they gained valuable soft skills related to workplace interactions. We’re hoping to see some of these students back again this year, and look forward to following their careers in the industry- whether that’s with us or somewhere else!
